Our School Day

8:30am Members of SLT/FLO to open the side gate, allowing pupils and parents/carers to enter and supervise the playground.  Class teachers should also be on the playground to meet and greet pupils and parents.


8:40am Members of SLT/FLO ring the bell.  Children enter the classrooms for early work/GPW.


8:45am Gate is closed.  The school office will make note of children entering school after this time.


8:45am Registration takes place and the learning starts.


9:10 am Collective Worship in the school hall daily.


10:30am Playtime (KS1 pupils on KS1 playground, KS2 pupils on KS2 playground).  Two bells are rung to signal the end of playtime.  Children line up and are led into classrooms by staff.


10:35am Lessons continue


12:00pm - 1:00pm Lunchtime. KS1 pupils eat in the school hall. KS2 school dinners eat in the hall. KS2 packed lunches eat in the classrooms or the picnic benches around the playground.


1:00pm Lessons resume.  Two bells are rung to signal the end of playtime.  Children line up and are led into classrooms by classroom staff. Registration should take place quickly and registers sent to the school office.


3:15pm End of the school day.  Children are handed over to parents one by one.  Some Y5 and Y6 children may walk home alone with permission from their parents.  Children attending after school clubs should be sent to the location where the club takes place.  KS1 children attending late care provision will be collected by a member of staff.  KS2 children attending late care provision will be sent to the school hall.  Children who are not collected are walked to the school office by a member of staff.
