At Boughton- under-Blean & Dunkirk, we follow a school house system. Our houses are named after significant and inspirational people in British history. These names were chosen by pupils of the school. The houses are:
The houses help to promote friendly rivalry, competition and the opportunity for children across the school to learn with and from each other in a variety of different contexts.
Each year eight Y6 pupils are elected as house captains.
The children earn house points for good learning. These are collected up each week by the house captains and the weekly scores shared with the whole school.
Additional house points are earned by being part of a sports team, for homework and for competitions.
