School Council

School Council representatives are chosen each year, with two children per class being elected by their peers. It is hoped that School Council will play an increasingly important role over the coming year and beyond, contributing to many aspects of school life and school improvement.

School Council offers all children the opportunity to have their say about matters that affect them on a day-to-day basis – it essentially gives the children a ‘voice’.  Each class will have a regular Class Council session, which will then be fed back into our fortnightly School Council meetings.

Children will be involved in decision making tasks such as choosing charities to support, help to plan whole school events and think of ways to make our school an even better to place to be. In time to come they may even be involved in staff recruitment
