Choir

Singing at the O2 was a truly amazing experience for all of us.  We had practiced so hard for the months preceding it and learning all those words nearly made our heads explode.  The day started when we got to the O2 where we were amongst tens of thousands of other school children.  We were shown to our seats which were high up in the arena which meant we could see everything that was happening.  We practiced for two hours before the start of the show.  The singing and the dancing was full of energy.   At 6pm the doors opened and the parents flooded in.  We waved our torches and banner until our parents saw us.  They were as excited as us!  Suddenly, the lights went out and left thousands of sparkly lights floating in the air.  The atmosphere was electric and as the purple lights focussed on us we began our first song.  In the next two hours we sang and danced until we had nothing left in us.  The last round of applause nearly took the roof off!  We were tired and exhausted but it was all worth it.  Will we be doing it again?  You bet!!  We have been rehearsing hard and are almost all set to raise the roof once more!

Shell Seekers

Shell seekers is an open to all club which was formally known as bible club.  It is run by Geoff Court who comes in and teaches the children in a fun way all about stories from the bible.  They participate in activites which are related to stories in the bible.

"I like making things to take home.  I also like it when Geoff brings in food which we are allowed to eat"

Geoff brings in things related to bible stories and recently brought in some figs as he was teaching about a story about a fig tree.  He makes learning about the bible more fun for children and they really start to get an understanding about the stories.
