We have had a very busy term in Foxes Class!
We have had a lot of fun in literacy as we have entered the wonderful world of fairy tales. We have read a wide range of traditional tales and written these well-known stories in our own words. Then we used our knowledge of existing fairy tales to write our own. We have also had the opportunity for lots of drama and role-play, and we have filmed our performances. Some of us also performed fairy tales through shadow puppet theatre.

We really enjoyed our class trip to Leeds Castle this term to tie in with our learning about Kings, Queens and Castles. We took part in a workshop about the history of the people who owned Leeds Castle and we all got to dress up. We also had a guided tour of the castle and even had some time to play in the play area there!

Lots of us have enjoyed learning to play the recorder in music. We have been working on notes B, A and G and we have all played tunes along with a backing CD. We are hoping we will be ready for a little performance by the end of the year!

We enjoyed dressing up as book characters around World Book Day.
